What it is
Tether is Luminary's focus module for days when starting is the expensive part. You calibrate once, tether a single task, and run timed burns against a shrinking gold disk — Obsidian Codex, gold #C9A84C. Pulses are optional. Drift is a weather report, not a score. Cipher does not keep a streak.
It sits beside Daily Orbit, not behind it. No natal chart is required. The sky can color the room; it is never a gate.
The loop

Calibrate with ten one-screen questions. You get Glide, Thrust, or Anchor — changeable anytime.

Tether one task. Optionally name the first two minutes.

Start a burn. The gold disk shrinks with real elapsed time, even if the tab sleeps.

Pulses can be tone, vibration, flash, or none. Drift checks ask 'Still on it?' without a verdict.

Close the burn. Stardust follows completed effort. Optional one-line note lands in the Ledger.
Three support profiles
Ten quiet questions. One screen each. You land on a profile you can change anytime in settings — nothing is locked to a first answer.
Glide
Longer burns, fewer taps. You already know how to start — Tether keeps the window honest.
Thrust
Medium burns, a midpoint check. Enough structure to move, not enough to crowd you.
Anchor
Short burns, pulses close together. A rail you can hold when the day is loud.
What it is not
Not a streak app. Not a daily-login game. Not a clinic. Awards attach to effort events only. Missed days lower altitude toward a floor. The floor exists on purpose — so coming back is never a restart from zero.
Common questions
Who is Tether for?
Anyone who finds starting and closing loops expensive. Tether is an environmental tool — one task, a visible clock, optional pulses. Cipher never makes it a test.
Why only one task?
Working memory is a small desk. A list of twelve priorities is how the desk gets knocked over. One tethered task is the whole product.
What if I miss a day?
Orbit altitude eases and never zeroes. There are no streaks. Cipher's copy stays warm. You come back; the floor is still there.
Does Tether need my natal chart?
No. Chart data is optional flavor. Tether works if you never cast a chart. The sky can color the room; it is never a gate.
